Lile Ellefsen brings a welcomed mix of professional training, life experience, and common sense together as she helps individuals to improve their health and wellness. She is a clinically trained Registered Dietitian with specialty training in weight management and food sensitivities. She is also skilled in providing nutrition therapy to help people manage cholesterol, blood pressure, diabetes and many other medical concerns. Lile embraces a “non-diet approach” to weight management which emphasizes focusing on more than just the numbers on the scale, and on helping individuals to identify strategies which will work best for them to reach health and wellness goals. The whole person is taken into account when considering how to modify behaviors is a way that is meaningful and do-able for each individual. One size does not fit all. As an active individual and mother of 2 active children, Lile can appreciate the busy lives many of us lead today, and works with her patients to figure out the best options for making healthy choices within each person’s own reality. Lile also has extensive experience as a community leader and health educator having served in a variety of volunteer positions in her community including the YMCA, her church, and her children’s schools, clubs and sports. As such she has provided nutrition education to many audiences, helped organize food drives, served on wellness committees, and more. Lile’s refreshing blend of professional expertise and real-life applications make her a valuable resource for patients and professionals alike. She has a comfortable manner and a way of taking the science of nutrition and translating it into achievable lifestyle goals that make patients leave thinking “I can do this!”
